Ohhh.. love the brown & white! The wood on my sofa & chairs is a pretty warm brown and I'm slip covering them with the white linen. I think this is great food for decorating thought!
Also, we are considering, if we can afford it, replacing all of the aluminum windows instead of just the front ones. If we did, what do you think about doing the exterior window trim in a warm rich honey? Look back at that original picture of the house. I wonder if adding the brown window trim would really give more depth to the color scheme.

I think that would look lovely! Wasn't the Vanderbilt house done with a khaki trim? I loved that too.
